Dagney Benton

Dagney Benton’s practice covers all areas of intellectual property, including the filing and prosecution of Canadian and Foreign trademark applications, settlement agreements, opposition proceedings, expungement proceedings, analyzing search results and providing registrability opinions.

Although her practice is primarily related to trademark law, Dagney also has  involvement with the firm’s Engineering Patent Group. She prepares International patent applications for wireless communication systems, new and improved Internet technologies and portable electronic communication systems.

Prior to attending law school, Dagney was employed with a municipality specializing in preparing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the roads, water, and sewer systems within the municipality. Dagney specializes in the patentability of software related inventions.
