We
have developed an employee performance system that outlines the
roles, responsibilities, qualifications and expectations for each
position in the firm, including that of the articling student. There
are also clearly defined and standardized performance levels for
the entire firm.
You
will be given a package at the outset of your articling period,
targeting expectations. This system helps us ensure quality for
our clients and it helps you understand the criteria for becoming
a good professional.
At
the end of each rotation, you are provided with a performance review
and evaluation prepared by various members of the department in
which you served. This evaluation provides concrete feedback about
your performance in all areas of the practice, including interaction
with other members of the firm.
The
evaluation process after each rotation also gives you with the opportunity
to provide us with feedback. You tell us about your own experiences
and have the opportunity to raise any concerns you have at that
time. Suggestions for improving the articling process are welcome,
and changes are implemented where possible.
