Lauren Blaiwais

Articling Student

Lauren is in her last year of a concurrent 6-year JD/BSocSc program at the University of Ottawa, having successfully attained all JD requirements in French in 2016. Her academic achievements include receiving the French Studies Scholarship and recognition on the Dean’s Honour List. During law school, Lauren was a member of the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program, a guest speaker for the Telfer Business Law Association, the Assistant Editor of the Ottawa Law Review, and a Teaching Assistant for ‘Principles of Legal Research.’

Prior to working at MBM, Lauren worked for an American Fortune 50 company, a global leader in aircraft propulsion, climate, controls and security, as well as aerospace systems. Before beginning her studies, Lauren was identified as one of the top soccer players in the United Soccer League (USL), resulting in her selection for the USL Olympic Development Program National Camp. She played in 3 consecutive North American Finals Tournaments.

Outside of school and work, Lauren enjoys staying active, listening to podcasts, and travelling.
