Our procedural and computer systems are constantly evolving to maximize efficiency. The network and processes are standardized so that any firm member within any department can retrieve whatever information you require if your usual point of contact is unavailable. Our goal is to maximize the value of the services we can provide to you and in turn to your clients. For example, we take advantage of electronic filing programs like that of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) for filing trademark applications, and of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) system for filing patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). By using these systems to their best advantage, your client’s applications are processed more efficiently. In the case of trademarks, filing certificates are received the same day the application is filed, and the application is typically examined by the CIPO before other manually filed applications.
