We offer three specific levels of due diligence so that our
clients can choose an investigation specific to their particular
needs. For instance, you can begin with a basic examination
of the formalities, such as an assessment of clean and valid
title to the intellectual property (Level 1). Thereafter,
a more advanced examination of the issues can be undertaken
that will indicate whether any substantive issues exist (Level
2). Finally, we look at business projections and prepare an
analysis of future prospects, such as the likely scope of
claim language that will issue for any patents, in an effort
to assist you in advance planning (Level 3). The following
are approximate price ranges for each phase of a due diligence
for small or modest sized intellectual property portfolios,
prepared by MBM:
