Dr. Stuart Bristowe
Stuart Bristowe focuses on
the drafting and prosecuting of patent applications in various
areas of technology including mechanical devices,
communication systems, electronics, solid-state lighting,
computer software and related technologies. As part of his
practice, he also advises clients on patent strategy and
portfolio development, invention disclosure, research
documentation and inventorship. Stuart works closely with
clients ensuring that their patent portfolios support their
business objectives and corresponds regularly with a wide
network of foreign associates to manage the worldwide
prosecution of client’s patent portfolios. Stuart also has
experience in the drafting and prosecuting of industrial
design applications.
During his graduate
studies, Stuart was the principal instructor for a course
relating to the mechanics and strength of materials as applied
to structural design. He has authored several publications
related to his research in the behaviour and analytical
modeling of materials and structural systems subjected to
earthquake loading, and has presented his research at several
international conferences.
Stuart is a Registered
Canadian and United States Patent Agent.
