Heather Forrest

Heather Forrest heads the Firm’s Patent Agency in her role as Patent Formalities Manager. Along with her capable team, she is responsible for all formal matters relating to patent filing both in Canada and internationally, including PCT filings. Heather brings a wealth of patent experience to MBM with over thirty years in the patent profession, covering all aspects of patent filing, administration and client service.

Heather delivers on various patent matters, including cost-effective prosecution practices and document management in the patent process. She has been active in The Association of Legal Administrators, The Ottawa-Carleton Board of Trade, and regularly delivers in-house seminars and briefings to ensure that all members of the Patent Department are kept abreast of changes to international treaties and patent requirements worldwide.
