Dr. Neena Kuriakose

Neena Kuriakose has extensive experience in the drafting and prosecution of applications relating to diverse areas such as biotechnology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. She is also responsible for developing intellectual property strategies and the management of client patent portfolios.

Neena has several years experience as a research scientist at a biotechnology company focused on the development of therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. She was also a member of a multi-disciplinary research team studying the mechanisms of action of candidate compounds for use in the treatment of asthma. She has co-authored scientific publications, a number of which were focused on the regulation of genes involved in lipid synthesis in mammals, the regulation of genes involved in galactose metabolism in yeast, and mechanisms relating to immune responses and inflammation in mammals.

Neena is a Registered Canadian Patent Agent.
