Madelaine Saginur
Madelaine Saginur’s
practice focuses on matters relating to the filing and
prosecution of trademarks, including trademark clearance
opinions, settlement agreements, opposition proceedings,
expungement proceedings, analyzing search results and
providing registrability opinions. Madelaine attends to the
prosecution of Canadian and foreign trademark applications and
manages complex international portfolios. She also deals with
copyright prosecution and enforcement as well as domain name
dispute resolution.
Prior to joining MBM,
Madelaine worked for three years at the Centre de recherche
en droit public of the Université de Montréal, where she
researched the socio-ethical and legal issues of human
genetics research. She authored a number of articles in this
area, and has a book chapter in press. While completing her
law degree, Madelaine participated in the Jessup International
Law Moot Court competition. She practices in both French and
English.
